The Strings & Keys Approach

At Strings & Keys, our teaching approach strikes a thoughtful balance between joyful exploration and age-appropriate challenge. Our primary goal is to help each student fall in love with making music. Once that love takes root, motivation grows naturally—and students begin to build skills and habits that can last a lifetime.

Every teacher at our studio is carefully trained in my personal methodology and approach to student interaction. That means each Strings & Keys student receives lessons that are not only informative and effective, but also encouraging, supportive, and tailored to their unique journey.

Our Program

Strings & Keys Studio runs a year-round program to maximize each student’s uninterrupted progress and make the most of your investment in musical instruction. We follow the Leander School District calendar for breaks and holidays. During summer, weekly lessons and our Summer Accelerator program boost each student’s progress.

Lesson Days & Times

  • Monday–Friday

  • Daytime sessions, ideal for homeschool families or work-from-home parents.

  • After-school sessions (3:30–6:30 p.m.), ideal for students and adults

Lesson Types

  • Standard (30 minutes)

  • Extended (45 or 60 minutes)

  • Dual Instrument (45 or 60 minutes)

  • Instrument & Voice (45 or 60 minutes)

  • Virtual or Video Exchange (see Flexible Learning Plan)
